Born in the Pacific Island of Guam, I grew up immersed in the rich culture and tight-knit community of the Pacific. From a young age, I was instilled with a strong work ethic, helping my family run our mom & pop store and farm.
By the time I was 16, I was already diving into the workforce, learning the ins and outs of and receiving blue collar experience. At just 19, I found myself in a position of responsibility as a supervisor, overseeing operations across four Domino's locations. It was challenging yet a rewarding experience that taught me invaluable lessons in business, management and teamwork.
In 2004, I made a significant leap and joined the U.S Coast Guard, driven by a desire to serve my country and protect its community. Stationed on the breathtaking island of Oahu, I found a new home amidst with the beauty of Hawaii. Over the next seven years, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to my service, honing my skills and deepening my connection to the island and it's community.
It was during a business trip to Maui in 2013 that I experienced a profound sense of déjà vu. The island's untouched beauty and preservation efforts resonated deeply with me, reminding me of the Guam I knew in the 80s and 90s. Instantly captivated, I knew I had found a special place, and from that moment on, Maui's magic had me firmly in its grasp.
Since then, I've made Maui my home, embracing its unique culture and committed to it's preservation. Whether it's defending the landscape and the community, I am blessed with every moment in this paradise.
